Since mid‑July, Ukrainian drone attacks have targeted the logistics network of Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer. Around 20 warehouses have been hit, sparking major fires and destroying entire stock facilities. Satellite imagery shows at least 1.18 million square metres – more than a fifth of the company’s storage capacity – have been damaged.

The attacks have crippled the supply chain for franchise operators such as Vasily Klimov in Moscow, whose pick‑up point saw sales fall about 50 % as deliveries stalled. At least 13 people have been killed in the warehouse strikes. Ukraine alleges Wildberries supplies the Russian war effort, a claim the company and the Kremlin reject. The disruption affects goods and services worth roughly 8.5 % of Russia’s economy. Rebuilding could cost up to €1.1 billion, with total losses possibly reaching €2.1 billion. A separate drone strike set fire to a Wildberries logistics centre in Yekaterinburg, confirming the campaign’s reach into the Urals.
