Wildberries warehouses targeted in massive Ukrainian drone attack

Ukraine launched one of its largest aerial drone attacks of 2026, targeting Russia’s economic infrastructure and logistics networks. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported intercepting or destroying 822 Ukrainian drones, with approximately 600 directed toward Moscow.

A primary target of the campaign has been Wildberries, Russia’s largest online retailer. Ukrainian drones have struck approximately 20 Wildberries facilities, including a massive warehouse near Podolsk in the Moscow region that was reportedly destroyed by fire. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense stated that these strikes have forced seven of the company’s ten largest logistics hubs to cease operations. The attacks have resulted in the destruction of billions of dollars worth of merchandise and have caused significant disruption to the Russian e-commerce sector.

In addition to the strikes on logistics hubs, the aerial exchange involved casualties on both sides. In the Moscow region, an 83-year-old man was reported killed. In Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that a Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih killed two people and wounded 14 others. The escalation marks a shift toward targeting economic stability and supply chains as part of the ongoing conflict.
