Wildfires in Spain and gas explosion in Serbia cause emergency responses

A large forest fire has broken out on the Costa del Sol near Marbella, Spain. The blaze erupted shortly before midnight near Igualeja in the Malaga province, between Marbella and Ronda. At least 120 firefighters have been deployed to combat the flames, which are being exacerbated by strong winds. Residents and tourists in the area have been instructed to remain indoors as smoke columns rise over the mountainous terrain. This incident follows a series of similar wildfires that have affected Spain in recent weeks.

In a separate incident in Kisač, Serbia, a gas cylinder explosion caused a fire during a private celebration. The accident occurred when a man attempted to use a gas burner to fry food, resulting in an improperly tightened component. The explosion caused a fire that consumed an auxiliary building. One man sustained minor burns and smoke inhalation during the incident, but firefighters were able to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring properties.
