Wildfires threaten homes and facilities in southern France

Multiple vegetation fires have broken out in southern France, threatening residential areas and local infrastructure. Near Toulouse, a brush and dry grass fire prompted the deployment of 40 firefighters to protect homes and a nearby stud farm.

In the Hérault department, two separate incidents occurred. In Cessenon-sur-Orb, a fire spread through several hectares of pine forests and scrubland, threatening an equestrian center. Emergency responders utilized ground teams and aerial support, including Dash aircraft, to prevent the fire from reaching the facility.

Additionally, a fire in Vias-Plage impacted a campsite, resulting in the evacuation of 300 people during the night and the destruction of three mobile homes and one vehicle. No casualties have been reported from these incidents.
