Fundación Yépez releases 3,500 sea turtle hatchlings in Nautla

The Fundación Yépez A. C. has released between 3,200 and 3,500 sea turtle hatchlings in the El Raudal area of Nautla, Veracruz. This conservation effort follows months of beach patrols and surveillance to locate and protect nests in high-risk zones.

To ensure survival, some eggs were relocated to safer sites to allow the hatchlings to develop before being reintegrated into their natural habitat. The organization, which has been active for 59 years, noted that community reports from residents and visitors are vital for timely intervention and protection of the species.
