Will Best confirmed for Strictly Come Dancing 2026 as sixth celebrity contestant

BBC announced that Will Best, co‑host of Big Brother and Hits Radio breakfast presenter, will join the celebrity lineup for the 2026 series of Strictly Come Dancing, becoming the sixth contestant revealed. Best said, “I can’t quite believe it… I’m doing Strictly! What an absolute dream,” adding he looks forward to “sequins, quicksteps and the dance floor.”

The announced cast also includes EastEnders star Lacey Turner, Love Island personalities Dani Dyer and Cach Mercer, Australian singer Delta Goodrem, and celebrity hair stylist Chris Appleton. New presenters Emma Willis, comedian Josh Widdicombe and professional dancer Johannes Radebe will host the show, following the departure of long‑time hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Several professional dancers are also leaving, with replacements to be named later.

Separately, Scottish reality‑TV winner Stephen Libby, who triumphed on The Traitors, is reported to be in talks with the Strictly casting team for a possible appearance, though no decision has been made.
