William 'Bitelo' Piovezan sets 420 kg deadlift record in Iceland

Brazilian powerlifter William Brito Piovezan, known as Bitelo, achieved a new personal and national record by lifting 420 kg in a deadlift during the Iceland’s Strongest Man event in Iceland. Although attending the event as a special guest rather than a competitor, the 25-year-old athlete surpassed his previous mark by 20 kg.

The feat drew significant attention from Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the former world’s strongest man and actor known for his role in Game of Thrones, who applauded the achievement and shared the moment on social media.

Piovezan, who stands 2.02 meters tall and weighs over 130 kg, transitioned from working as a construction laborer in Nova Granada, São Paulo, to becoming a world-class athlete and social media influencer with over 5 million followers on Instagram.
