William Kentridge to hold major solo exhibition at EMST
The National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) has announced a major solo exhibition by South African artist William Kentridge titled ‘The Great Yes, the Great No’. This marks the first large-scale presentation of his work in Greece and is a co-production with BOZAR in Brussels.
The exhibition, scheduled to open on June 3, 2027, will feature more than 100 works. Kentridge’s practice spans drawing, animation, sculpture, etching, installations, and video. A central focus of the exhibition will be his engagement with theater, opera, and performance, exploring the intersections of image, text, music, and live action.
Through drawings, sculptures, models, and cinematic projections, the exhibition aims to showcase Kentridge’s multidisciplinary approach and his collaborations with various writers, musicians, and choreographers.
