Willows Green residents protest Uttlesford District Council over illegal site

Residents of Willows Green are organizing a protest outside the Uttlesford District Council offices in Saffron Walden to demand enforcement against an unauthorized development. The group, known as the Willows Green Action Group, claims that caravans and mobile homes have been established on land north of Mole Hill Green Road without planning permission.

Despite a Temporary Stop Notice issued in May and a permanent High Court injunction granted in June, residents allege that residential activity continues at the site. They have provided evidence, including aerial imagery and photographs, suggesting the continued arrival of new units and domestic waste. The protesters are calling for greater accountability, contrasting the council’s perceived inaction with the swift enforcement of a similar injunction by East Herts District Council in Sawbridgeworth.
