Wingstop plans expansion into the Polish market
The American chicken restaurant chain Wingstop is planning to enter the Polish market. The expansion will be managed by Lemon Pepper Holdings, the operator of the brand in the United Kingdom and Ireland, which currently manages over 100 locations in those regions.
Wingstop is targeting major Polish urban centers, including Warsaw, Kraków, Wrocław, Poznań, and the Tricity area. The company is seeking large, well-located premises in shopping malls and high-traffic commercial streets. This move comes as the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) segment in Poland is projected to see high annual growth through 2031.
The broader fast-food sector in Poland, currently led by brands such as KFC, McDonald's, and Popeyes, continues to see high demand despite rising costs. While fast food was traditionally associated with low prices, the modern model often relies on seasonal offers and coupons to remain competitive, as standard menu prices have risen to levels comparable to traditional restaurants.
