Winnie the Pooh 100th anniversary commemorations in Japan
Tokyo and Yokohama are celebrating the 100th anniversary of A. A. Milne's "Winnie the Pooh" with a Disney Harvest Market pop‑up. The themed cafe and gift shop runs from early June to 23 September at Shibuya Hikarie (7th floor) and the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, offering a limited‑edition afternoon‑tea set (¥3,960) that includes original novelty items such as random clear‑file collectibles, seasonal dishes and signature smoothies. Visitors can also enjoy a Pooh‑design area and purchase special merchandise like a 100‑year‑edition chocolate tin.
Meanwhile, Daiso's THREEPPY brand has launched a 56‑item "Winnie the Pooh" series across its Japanese stores, beginning in late July. The collection features natural‑coloured everyday goods – tote bags, aroma diffusers, ring‑notebooks and more – priced between ¥220 and ¥1,100. Both initiatives aim to bring the beloved characters into daily life while marking the centennial celebration.
