Winnie‑the‑Pooh 100th anniversary celebrations in Japan

Entities: Winnie the Pooh · Kodansha · Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi · Disney THE MARKET · Green Parks

Overview

Since early July 2026 Disney Japan has rolled out a nationwide centennial campaign for A. A. Milne’s Winnie‑the‑Pooh. Ambassadors, pop‑up cafés, limited‑edition tea sets and a wave of themed merchandise have appeared across the country. Retailers such as Daiso, SKINNYDIP LONDON, BRUNO and others have offered Pooh‑branded household goods, accessories and collectibles. Tokyo Banana introduced two limited‑edition cake‑bag collaborations. A honey‑flavoured Winnie‑the‑Pooh set launched on 21 July at Tokyo Station’s Gransta “Square Zero”, priced from ¥880 for a four‑piece cake to ¥2 800 for an eight‑piece cake‑and‑bag set, and accompanied by eco‑bags, mesh pouches and tote bags. The second set, pairing the “Chiikawa” characters with a banana‑pudding cake, debuted on 1 August at Tokyo Station’s “Tokyo Banana s” shop and Haneda Airport’s Terminal 2, with a September launch in Daikanyama; prices range from ¥1 900 to ¥2 700 and include original stickers. Small Planet’s seven‑item Pooh collection hit stores and online on 28 July, while Hibiya Kadan’s “Honey Colour Fair” ran 28 July–3 August offering limited‑edition bouquets and topiaries. Maison de FLEUR released a seven‑item collection—including tote bags, a book‑shaped pouch, scarves and charms—on 1 August, with pre‑orders opened 23 July via the STRIPE CLUB web store and sales at all Maison de FLEUR locations, the STRIPE CLUB site, ZOZOTOWN and the Disney THE MARKET 2026 pop‑up in Nihonbashi Mitsukoshi. Green Parks launched an eight‑item line featuring a sheer check shirt, printed T‑shirts, a knit pullover, mini‑pouch, eco‑bag and bag charm, priced ¥2,990‑¥4,990. The collection became available online from 31 July and at the Disney THE MARKET 2026 exhibition (5‑16 August) and Green Parks stores nationwide.
