Winnipeg Blue Bombers face Montreal Alouettes in crucial playoff matchup

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers face a critical matchup against the Montreal Alouettes as they fight to maintain their playoff hopes. Currently holding a 7-7 record, Winnipeg is competing for a West Division crossover spot, facing pressure from the Calgary Stampeders.

In contrast, the Montreal Alouettes hold an 11-3 record and have the opportunity to clinch the East Division with a victory. While Montreal has seen a recent defensive decline, allowing an average of 36.8 points over their last four games, they remain undefeated at home this season.

The two teams previously met on August 28, when Winnipeg secured a 44-28 victory. Montreal enters the game following a bye week and expects to see the return of several key players from injury, including receiver Jerreth Sterns and linebacker Najee Murray.
