Winnipeg police investigate injuries after high-speed pursuit crash

Winnipeg police are investigating a serious incident involving injuries following a high-speed pursuit near the intersection of Broadway and Young Street on Friday afternoon. The pursuit ended when a green Ford Bronco collided with another vehicle and subsequently crashed into a diner.

Witnesses reported seeing significant damage and smoke at the scene. At least two people required medical attention, with one individual observed on a stretcher wearing a neck brace. A pedestrian, Adam Orbanski, reported nearly being struck by the SUV as it hurtled toward him during the chase.

Police secured the area, and Broadway was closed between Furby and Young streets for the investigation. Officers were observed arresting individuals at the scene, including a woman being removed from the damaged SUV.
