Argentina's provinces unveil 2026 winter tourism campaigns
Several Argentine provinces rolled out extensive promotions for the 2026 winter season. In the Patagonia region, Bariloche and El Bolsón announced more than USD 40 million in upgrades to Cerro Catedral and the Cerro Perito Moreno lift complex, adding new snow‑making guns, modern PistenBully machines and digital services to boost capacity to over 35 000 skiers per hour.
In the northeast, the province of Entre Ríos declared itself the “official seat of winter” and launched a city‑wide campaign in Buenos Aires featuring a branded tourist bus, the provincial mascot the capybara and a launch event at the Casa de Entre Ríos attended by provincial and national tourism officials.
Jujuy’s governor Carlos Sadir presented the province’s winter programme in Buenos Aires, highlighting nature, culture and adventure attractions such as the Quebrada de Humahuaca, the Puna and the upcoming Lola Mora Museum, while stressing the sector now supports roughly 28 000 jobs.
Additional destinations in Buenos Aires Province – including Sierra de la Ventana, Villa Ventana, Tandil and Azul – promoted their scenic forests, artisanal cafés and historic sites as ideal winter getaways, reinforcing the broader national effort to position Argentina’s varied regions as attractive winter tourism hubs.
