Bosnia and Herzegovina weather: Rain and snow expected
Bosnia and Herzegovina is experiencing a transition to winter weather, characterized by cloudy skies, rain, and snow on mountain ranges. Meteorologists report that temperatures are gradually dropping, with frost expected in some areas by the end of the week.
In the mountainous regions, including Jahorina, Bjelašnica, and Kupres, snow has already begun to accumulate. While snow is falling on higher elevations, lower areas are seeing rain and sleet. In Herzegovina, conditions remain relatively milder and sunnier compared to the rest of the country.
Road conditions are affected by wet and slippery surfaces, fog, and reduced visibility. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, especially in valleys and near riverbeds. Authorities remind citizens that the use of winter equipment has been mandatory since November 1. Some mountain passes may experience light snow and sleet, potentially impacting travel.
