Wisconsin man charged with stalking after human remains found in home

Benjamin Larson, a 47-year-old man from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has been charged with felony stalking following a police investigation that uncovered human remains and serial killer memorabilia in his home.

Authorities discovered several human skulls, a jawbone, and skeletal remains in a glass casket during a search of Larson’s basement. Investigators also found items related to notorious serial killers, including documents and objects from the home and grave of Edward Gein, as well as an allegation that a jar contained a piece of John Wayne Gacy’s brain.

The stalking charges stem from a victim who reported a pattern of harassment dating back to 2013. The victim, who moved to Canada to escape Larson’s obsession, reported that the unwanted contact intensified recently. Criminal complaints include journal entries in which Larson allegedly expressed violent rage toward the victim and her family.

Larson was released on a $15,000 bond and is currently under GPS monitoring. A judge has banned him from returning to the victim’s home county and ordered a psychological assessment. If convicted of the Class I felony, Larson faces up to 3.5 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
