Świętokrzyskie Region Announces New Bypass Projects for Łagów, Klimontów and Osiek

The Świętokrzyskie provincial road authority has launched a public tender to build bypasses around the towns of Łagów and Klimontów. The Łagów bypass will be 1.5 km long with two new bridges and is budgeted at about 108 million złoty. The Klimontów bypass will be 4 km long, include a major bridge, and is estimated to cost around 190 million złoty. The combined 5.5 km of new roadwork is expected to take roughly two years, with contracts potentially signed later this year.

Separately, an environmental decision has been issued for a 3.2 km bypass of Osiek on national road DK79. The route will run south of the town, feature two viaducts and a roundabout, and a tender for design and construction is planned for the second half of the year. The Osiek bypass is part of the regional “Program of Building 100 Bypasses,” intended to divert transit traffic, improve residents' quality of life, and streamline travel between Sandomierz and Kraków.
