Wix introduces AI website builder and agent Aria
Wix has launched an AI-driven website builder designed to generate business-ready sites from text descriptions. The process involves four stages: describing business goals, generating a site with built-in tools, refining the design via manual editing or the built-in AI agent, Aria, and launching with custom domains and SEO tools.
Wix utilizes a hybrid editing approach, allowing users to switch between manual drag-and-drop adjustments and AI-driven commands. Through Aria, users can describe specific changes or generate entire pages and visuals. This capability, which Wix refers to as ‘vibe coding,’ allows for the creation of custom components through natural language prompts.
While the initial build is free, users must subscribe to a Wix Premium plan to connect custom domains, collect online payments, or access advanced features.
In the broader context of AI adoption, experts suggest that small business owners should focus on tools that reduce operational friction rather than attempting to keep pace with every new technological trend to avoid ‘technostress.’
