Wizz Air adds Pristina hub and Berlin‑Sofia daily flight

Wizz Air announced the opening of an operational base at Pristina International Airport in Kosovo. The base will be centred around a single Airbus A321neo and will support new routes to Basel, Baden‑Baden and Brussels‑Charleroi, complementing its existing services to Bratislava, Dortmund, Memmingen, London‑Luton, Milan‑Malpensa and Rome‑Fiumicino. The move follows a Kosovo government grant of €2 million to boost air links for the diaspora, and further cements Wizz Air’s presence among the largest low‑cost carriers in South‑East Europe.

In addition, the airline will launch a daily direct service between Berlin and Sofia, scheduled to start on 20 September 2026. Tickets are priced from €31.99 and the route is promoted as enhancing connectivity between Germany and Bulgaria. “We are pleased to connect Berlin and Sofia with this new daily service,” said Anastasia Novak, Corporate & Sustainability Communications Manager at Wizz Air.
