Wizz Air adds Turin‑Lamezia route and creates 780 jobs in Italy
Wizz Air announced that from 25 October 2026 it will operate a new nonstop service between Turin Caselle and Lamezia Terme, with five flights each week and tickets starting at €19.99. The airline said the route is intended to strengthen north‑south travel for families, workers, students and tourists.
At the same time Wizz Air is expanding its Italian presence by opening a seventh base at Turin Airport. The expansion is expected to carry about one million passengers per year, introduce several new routes—including a link to Bilbao—and generate 780 jobs in Italy, comprising 80 direct hires and roughly 700 positions in the wider supply chain. Recruitment days will be held in Naples, Milan, Catania, Palermo and Venice.
