Wizz Air adds Valencia flights from Brașov and marks 20 years in Romania
Low‑cost carrier Wizz Air announced that it will start a new Brașov‑Valencia service on 11 November 2026, offering three weekly flights (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday). The route is intended for the Romanian community in the Valencia region, which numbers over 100,000 people, and will connect Brașov International Airport to the Spanish city known for its beaches, historic centre and cultural attractions.
In July, Târgu Mureș International Airport celebrated a double anniversary: 20 years since the first Wizz Air flight landed in Romania on 14 July 2006, and the airport’s own founding anniversary. The airport highlighted recent upgrades, including a new terminal funded by EU grants and modern security equipment, and its ongoing plan to expand flight options and attract additional airlines, strengthening regional connectivity.
