Wizz Air expands Italian operations and network connectivity

Wizz Air is expanding its presence in Italy through renewed partnerships and new route developments. At Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, the airline has renewed its long-term collaboration agreement. By 2026, Wizz Air expects to provide approximately 1.3 million seats for the airport, representing a capacity increase of over 20% compared to 2025. This growth will establish the carrier as the second largest airline at Bologna with an 11.5% market share.

In Turin, Wizz Air is expanding its network with the addition of a new international route connecting Turin to Suceava, Romania. Starting December 18, 2026, the route will operate twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays. This expansion follows the establishment of a new base at Turin Caselle, which will include two aircraft. For the 2026/2027 winter season, Wizz Air's network from Turin will reach 23 destinations, including several domestic Italian cities and various international locations.
