Wizz Air expands Italian operations with new routes from Naples and Salerno

Wizz Air has announced an expansion of its operations in the Campania region of Italy, establishing a dual-airport hub involving Naples and Salerno.

Starting June 6, 2027, the airline will launch three new international routes from Salerno Costa d’Amalfi and del Cilento airport. These connections, operated with Airbus A321neo aircraft, include flights to Budapest (Wednesdays and Sundays), Tirana (Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays), and Warsaw (Wednesdays and Sundays).

The company is also strengthening its presence in Naples. Beginning in March 2027, Wizz Air will add a fourth Airbus A321neo to its Naples base and introduce new routes to Palermo, Nice, Basel, and Genoa, providing approximately 500,000 additional seats. The airline is working alongside GESAC to support the growth of the regional airport system.
