Wizz Air expands summer schedule with more flights from Tuzla and new Sofia routes

Wizz Air announced an expanded summer schedule from its base at Tuzla International Airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, increasing weekly flights to Basel to five and adding three weekly flights to Paris‑Beauvais, alongside continued service to destinations such as Memmingen, Dortmund, Bratislava, Berlin, Frankfurt‑Hahn, Gothenburg, Cologne, Hamburg, Maastricht and Malmö.

In Sofia, Bulgaria, the airline stationed its eighth aircraft, an Airbus A321neo, at Vasil Levski Airport. The new plane enables direct services to Budapest and Rhodes, with tickets priced from €14.99. The expansion is expected to create about 40 direct and 350 indirect jobs, boost inbound tourism and strengthen Sofia’s position as a regional aviation hub. Wizz Air now operates 11 aircraft in Bulgaria and plans 144 weekly flights from Sofia in the 2026 summer season, representing a 61 % increase over the previous year.
