Wizz Air inaugurates new operational base at Turin Airport
Wizz Air has officially inaugurated a new operational base at Turin Airport, marking a significant expansion of the airline’s network in Northern Italy. The launch began with the arrival of an Airbus A321neo, which performed a repositioning flight from Milan Malpensa to Turin.
The airline plans to expand its local fleet to two aircraft by October 25, 2026. This investment is expected to provide approximately 1.3 million seats for sale this year, strengthening connectivity between the Piedmont region and various European destinations.
New routes introduced through this base include Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia, and Rome Fiumicino. Additional scheduled services to Lamezia Terme, Madrid, Malaga, Napoli, Sharm el Sheikh, Suceava, and Valencia will follow between October and December 2026.
