Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon announces new 2026 route

The 2026 Wizz Air Rome Half Marathon by Brooks will feature a significant change to its course and status. For the first time, the race will start at the Aurelian Walls near the arches of Porta Ardeatina, located between Viale delle Terme di Caracalla and Via Cristoforo Colombo. The race is scheduled to take place on October 18, 2026, at 8:00 AM, maintaining its iconic finish at Via degli Annibali with views of the Colosseum.

The event has achieved the Elite Label World Athletics certification, a prestigious recognition for high-standard organizational and competitive requirements. This milestone marks the race's ascent in international running hierarchies. Organizers RomaOstia and RCS Sports & Events are collaborating with Rome's municipal departments to finalize the route through the city's historic center.
