Wizz Air suspends multiple European routes in Poland, Romania and Bulgaria

Wizz Air announced the suspension of 13 routes as part of a network reorganisation. From the end of October, flights from Warsaw and Katowice to Brașov will cease after a single season, with a planned return only in the summer of 2027. The airline also withdrew 11 other connections operating from Romanian airports, including routes such as Timișoara‑Berlin, Bucharest‑Turku and Brașov‑Nuremberg.

In Bulgaria, Wizz Air will stop its regular Plovdiv‑Bratislava service for the winter period. The last scheduled flight on this line will operate on 24 October 2026, after which the route will be offered only as a seasonal summer service. The connection, opened in November 2025 and originally slated to run until October 2027, will leave Plovdiv with only three regular international routes, prompting calls for new airline services.
