Wolf pups confirmed born in several Czech Republic regions

Monitoring by the DUHA Movement has confirmed the birth of wolf pups in various regions across the Czech Republic, including the Ore Mountains, Jeseníky, Beskydy, Lusatian Mountains, and the Broumov area.

In the Ore Mountains, pups were recorded in three monitored locations, including a new breeding pair that settled in the area last year. In the Jeseníky mountains, camera traps captured footage of pups approximately three and a half months old, belonging to the third generation of a specific pack.

Experts note that while successful reproduction is occurring, it does not necessarily lead to a dramatic increase in local wolf populations. Most pups do not survive their first year, and those that reach adulthood typically leave their parental territory to find new areas and mates.
