Basarabeasca wolves terrorize local households

Wolves are increasingly frequenting villages in the Basarabeasca district, specifically in Ivanovca, causing significant distress to local residents. Families report losing goats and poultry to predator attacks, with some incidents occurring in broad daylight.

Local residents have expressed fear of leaving their homes at night due to the proximity of the animals. While several wolf families reside in the nearby forests, hunting them is prohibited by law as the species is protected. The Ministry of Environment has urged citizens to exercise caution following reports of wolves wandering between houses and attacking livestock in residential yards.
