Women entrepreneurship initiatives launched in Munich and Ghana

In Munich, 17 institutions have established the Women Entrepreneurs Alliance (WE Alliance) to streamline support for female founders. Rather than creating new programs, the alliance aims to connect existing structures, such as financing, coaching, and networking services, to help women navigate the Bavarian startup ecosystem more efficiently. The initiative, supported by the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, focuses on providing a navigational guide to existing resources like Gründerland Bayern.

In Ghana, the WERise Network has announced its 2026 Annual Programme, scheduled for late September to early October 2026. Under the theme ‘Rise & Scale: Celebrating Growth, Building Revenue and Creating Jobs,’ the week-long event aims to increase the visibility and market opportunities for women-owned enterprises. Organized in partnership with the Ghana Enterprises Agency and the Mastercard Foundation, the program will include masterclasses, regional fora, and business exhibitions to support SME growth and job creation.
