Women in Brazil Receive Free Entrepreneurship Training in Cuiabá and Limeira

The Public Ministry of Mato Grosso organized a free four‑hour Women’s Entrepreneurship workshop on 7 July at the Espaço MP Por Elas in the Shopping Três Américas, Cuiabá. The session, led by Senac instructor Adriana Damasceno, covered the history of female entrepreneurship in Brazil, featured a discussion with entrepreneur Kamila Leal, and included a practical business‑plan activity. Participants, including a designer of eyebrows, a novice manicure, and a retired retiree, expressed that the course offered valuable experience and motivation to start independent ventures. One attendee said, “Esse curso traz para as mulheres a oportunidade de trocar experiências, conhecer situações inspiradoras dentro do empreendedorismo”.

Separately, Sebrae‑SP partnered with the APAE of Limeira to complete the “Incubação de Negócios” project, aimed at mothers of people with disabilities. The program provided five days of classroom training followed by a 90‑day incubation phase with 12 collective and individual consulting sessions. Topics covered creativity, marketing, finance, and socio‑emotional skills, helping participants develop low‑investment businesses. Sebrae analyst Débora Rodrigues described the initiative as “a success, with engaged participants”, while a mother entrepreneur noted it was “a turning point” for her catering business. Both initiatives target financial autonomy and professional growth for women in Brazil.
