Women's entrepreneurship initiatives launched in Bolivia and Chile

In Bolivia, applications for the Indigenous Women of the Amazon Program are open until October 25. The initiative seeks to select four bioeconomy entrepreneurs from the La Paz and Pando departments. Winners will receive a scholarship of Bs 150,000 for one year to implement projects focused on sustainable biodiversity management, traditional agriculture, agroforestry, community-based tourism, and indigenous crafts. The program is driven by Conservation International in alliance with the Coordinator of Indigenous Organizations of the Amazon Basin (COICA).

In Chile, the program ‘Biobío Emprende con Camanchaca,’ a collaboration between Camanchaca and MadeInnLatam, received a silver award in the Social Sustainability category at the 2026 Eikon Awards. The initiative aims to strengthen businesses led by women in the Biobío Region by providing tools and mentorship to foster local development and shared value.
