Wong Chen to Resign as Subang MP, Submits Letter to Speaker Johari

Subang MP Wong Chen told Dewan Rakyat Speaker Johari Abdul that he wishes to resign. During a meeting on Wednesday, Wong handed the speaker a letter on official stationery, though its contents were not disclosed. He said he will release a press statement on the matter on Monday evening.

Speaker Johari confirmed that Wong proposed resignation and gave his reasons, but did not verify whether a formal resignation letter had been submitted. The development comes as three PKR MPs – Wong, Ampang MP Rodziah Ismail and Petaling Jaya MP Lee Chean Chung – have been barred from the MyKhas funding portal. All three attended the May launch of the Bersama party, founded by former PKR leaders Rafizi Ramli and Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, highlighting growing tensions within the party.
