Wood Design Park Noma in Aichi expands mist and cooling services for summer BBQs

The outdoor recreation facility Wood Design Park Noma on Japan’s Chita Peninsula has upgraded its summer heat‑stroke defenses for the 2026 season. A mist system now covers the beachfront and tent areas, creating an open “cool‑mist space” that lowers perceived temperature. Additional large fans and a dedicated spot‑cooler lounge have been installed, and portable spot‑coolers can be rented for ¥1,000 each with staff‑provided ice refills every hour.

The venue also introduced three new non‑alcoholic frozen fruit‑pulp drinks—Twilight Berry, Island Kiwi and Ocean Blue—priced at ¥500 each and available from July 19. These measures aim to let families enjoy BBQs by the sea safely despite increasingly intense summer heat.
