Tarcísio de Freitas leads São Paulo gubernatorial polls

As the São Paulo gubernatorial election approaches, polling from Paraná Pesquisas shows incumbent Tarcísio de Freitas leading with 50.7% of the vote in a stimulated scenario, while Fernando Haddad follows with 33.3%. In a potential second round, Tarcísio maintains a lead with 54% against Haddad's 36.4%.

During the campaign, Tarcísio has focused on infrastructure and sanitation, promising to universalize basic sanitation in 371 municipalities by 2029 and investing R$ 30 billion in the Tietê River project. Conversely, Haddad has criticized current management, proposing to review all contracts signed by Tarcísio, including the Sabesp privatization, and intends to cut state spending to fund public servant salary increases.

Political movements are also intensifying, with Tarcísio pledging support to Flávio Bolsonaro for the presidency and Cleitinho for the Minas Gerais governorship. Meanwhile, the PT has reportedly reduced funding for Haddad's campaign, impacting his digital marketing efforts.
