Hanoi hosts World Cultural Festival and launches Vietnam Culture Day

Hanoi is hosting the second World Cultural Festival, featuring the ‘Colors of Five Continents’ street festival around Hoan Kiem Lake. The event showcases diverse traditions through music, dance, and a parade of over 1,000 participants wearing traditional costumes from various nations, including Vietnam, Mexico, Peru, the UAE, and South Korea.

In conjunction with the festival, Hanoi authorities have launched activities to celebrate the inaugural ‘Vietnam Culture Day,’ officially designated as November 24th annually following a Politburo resolution. This initiative aims to promote the country's cultural heritage and encourage public participation in preservation and creativity.

Events held at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism allow visitors to experience the heritage of Vietnam's 54 ethnic groups through traditional crafts, cuisine, and performances. The festivities serve to strengthen international cooperation and highlight Hanoi's role as a major cultural center.
