World Investor Week 2026 promotes global financial awareness
The 10th World Investor Week (WIW) 2026 is being observed by various global financial authorities to promote investor education, resilience, and scam awareness. The campaign, promoted by the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO), focuses on helping investors navigate market volatility and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.
In the Isle of Man, the Financial Services Authority is participating to support its regulatory objectives of protecting consumers and reducing financial crime. The initiative aims to build confidence in the local financial services sector by providing guidance on making informed financial choices.
In India, the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM) is conducting a week-long programme from October 5 to 10. The initiative includes on-campus activities, expert-led sessions, and webinars designed to promote responsible investing and cyber safety. NISM will host approximately 2,400 students at its Patalganga campus for educational visits covering securities markets and investing principles. The program also features collaborations with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) and the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA).
