World Organ Donation Day promotes awareness in Argentina and Mexico

In observance of World Organ Donation and Transplantation Day on October 14, health authorities in Argentina and Mexico are emphasizing the importance of organ donation as a life-saving altruistic act.

In Argentina, the National Institute of Central Activities for Organ Donation and Transplantation (INCUCAI) and the Santa Fe provincial coordinator (CUDAIO) report significant progress. So far this year, 1,742 organ transplants have been performed from 796 donors, alongside more than 4,200 tissue transplants. The province of Santa Fe ranks as the second highest in the country for donations, recording 98 processes this year.

In Meoqui, Mexico, the Municipal Health Directorate, under the direction of Mayor Miriam Soto, has issued an invitation for citizens to reflect on donation and seek information through reliable medical sources. The municipality is promoting awareness and offering psychological support through its six primary health care centers to assist families in making informed decisions regarding the donation process.
