World Petroleum Council conference concludes in Riyadh with record attendance
The 25th World Petroleum Council conference concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the highest attendance in the event's 93-year history. The conference, held as part of Riyadh Energy Week, drew over 33,000 visitors from 135 countries.
Under the theme ‘Paths Toward an Energy Future for All,’ the event brought together energy ministers, industry leaders, and policymakers to discuss global oil and gas markets, energy security, and the transition toward sustainable energy. Key topics included the role of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, energy efficiency, and infrastructure resilience. The conference also featured the presentation of the prestigious ‘DeHauver’ award to Vicki Hollub, CEO of Occidental Petroleum.
The National Energy Services Company (Tarshid) participated as a sponsor and contributor, highlighting Saudi Arabia's large-scale energy efficiency projects. Discussions led by Tarshid executives emphasized that improving energy efficiency is as critical to sustainability and economic competitiveness as increasing energy supplies.
