World Press Photo exhibition opens in Budapest and London

The World Press Photo 2026 exhibition is currently being held at the Biodóm in Budapest, Hungary, running from September 25 to November 8. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the competition. The exhibition features selected works from 57,376 entries submitted by 3,747 photographers across 141 countries. A special series by Sándor Bojár titled ‘Sortűz 1956’ is also presented as a tribute to the upcoming anniversary of the 1956 revolution.

In London, the exhibition is hosted by The Exhibitionists and sponsored by MPB. Observers note that the large-scale printing of the photographs, some reaching A0 size or larger, enhances the impact of the documentary and photojournalism works, allowing viewers to better engage with the challenging and inspiring subject matter.
