World Robot Conference opens in Beijing with AI showcases

The 2026 World Robot Conference has opened in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area, focusing on the theme of ‘human-machine symbiosis and production-demand integration.’

China Unicom Online showcased five intelligent terminal products at the event, including the ‘Tongtong’ smart home hub, ‘Youai Xiaoban’ for emotional companionship, and ‘Youai Chaoban’ for AI-driven social interaction. Other featured products include the ‘Youai Robot’ for public services and ‘Chong·Ai’ for intelligent pet care. These products leverage the China Unicom Cloud You intelligent agent service platform and AI large model technologies to cover scenarios such as smart healthcare, elderly care, and pet management.

Additionally, Grace Huang, a senior director of product and technical marketing for physical AI platforms at NVIDIA and daughter of CEO Jensen Huang, attended the conference in Beijing. Her presence highlighted the evolving role of non-technical backgrounds in the AI era, emphasizing that as AI integrates into daily life, the ability to connect technology with human emotion and market needs becomes increasingly vital.
