WRAITH announces new album ‘Descent Into Darkness’

Indiana-based blackened speed metal band WRAITH has announced their sixth studio album, ‘Descent Into Darkness’, scheduled for release on November 13, 2026, via Prosthetic Records.

The album draws thematic inspiration from the human cost and chaos of World War I. Frontman and history teacher Matt Sokol stated that the record examines the conflict through the perspectives of factory workers and soldiers rather than political leaders.

To accompany the announcement, the band released the first single, ‘Final Warning’. Sokol noted that the track draws parallels between the political tensions preceding World War I and modern global warning signs, emphasizing the theme of history repeating itself when warnings are ignored.
