WRC Rally Paraguay 2026: Toyota eyes Manufacturers' title

The World Rally Championship (WRC) returns from its summer break with the Rally Paraguay, scheduled from August 27 to 30, 2026. This event marks the first of two consecutive South American rounds in the 2026 season.

The championship battle features a significant duel between Toyota teammates Elfyn Evans and Sami Pajari. Evans currently holds a 30-point lead in the drivers' standings. Meanwhile, Toyota GAZOO Racing WRT has a chance to mathematically secure the Manufacturers' Championship this weekend if they outscore Hyundai by a specific margin.

Sébastien Ogier, looking to defend his victory from the inaugural Paraguay rally, will compete alongside co-driver Vincent Landais. Other notable competitors include Hyundai drivers Thierry Neuville, Adrien Fourmaux, and Hayden Paddon, as well as M-Sport Ford's Josh McErlean and John Armstrong.
