Encarnación prepares for WRC Rally Paraguay with arrival of vehicles and naval fleets
Preparations for the WRC Rally del Paraguay 2026 are intensifying in Encarnación as international logistics and competition vehicles arrive in the Itapúa Department. A shipment of 12 Rally 1 competition vehicles arrived via Qatar Airways, while other equipment and Toyota GR Yaris units from Spain are being transported to the Service Park located at the Sambódromo.
To manage the massive influx of people and vehicles, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce has advised importers and exporters to plan operations in advance to avoid delays at the Encarnación-Posadas border. Local authorities are coordinating to ensure that trade and the movement of perishable goods remain stable during the event.
As a cultural complement to the sporting event, the Paraguayan Navy has arrived in Encarnación with the Cañonero Paraguay and the Patrullero Capitán Cabral. These historic vessels, which traveled via the Paraguay and Paraná rivers, will be open to the public during the rally week. The competition will feature 60 official crews and will be centered around the Service Park and the Civic Center.
