Wrestlers support ALS awareness and Nyla Rose reveals new AEW role

Professional wrestlers are participating in the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise awareness for Rebel Tanea, an AEW star diagnosed with ALS. Natalya recently accepted the challenge after being nominated by WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix, subsequently nominating Bayley, Angelo Dawkins, and Brodie Lee Jr.

Separately, AEW veteran Nyla Rose revealed during a K & S WrestleFest appearance that she has taken on a backstage role with the promotion during her extended on-screen absence. Rose, a former AEW Women's World Champion, noted she also continues to work on the independent circuit and in Japan. She also responded to social media criticism regarding her hiatus, stating her desire to continue wrestling rather than merely collecting a paycheck.
