Wrocław hosts independent art weekend and photography exhibitions

Wrocław is set to host several significant cultural events focused on contemporary art and photography. The fourth edition of the Wrocław Off Gallery Weekend will take place from October 15 to October 18. This event highlights the city's independent art scene by opening independent galleries, studios, and unconventional spaces to the public, allowing visitors to explore the local artistic community outside of major institutional museums.

In addition to the city-wide weekend, photographer Igor Wójcik will present his work in exhibitions titled ‘Zwierciadła iluzji’ (Mirrors of Illusion) and ‘Sekwencje czasu i przestrzeni’ (Sequences of Time and Space). The exhibition at the ZPAF Photography Gallery in Wrocław is scheduled for September 3–27, 2026, with a vernissage on October 8, 2026. Wójcik’s work utilizes analog photography to explore the boundaries between reality and its reflection, focusing on the interplay of light, geometry, and the ephemeral nature of time.
