Wrocław Zoo food quality criticized by YouTuber Książulo

Popular Polish YouTuber Szymon Nyczke, known as Książulo, has sparked significant online discussion following a viral review of food establishments within the Wrocław Zoo. In his video, which has garnered over 1.6 million views, the influencer heavily criticized the quality of food at several locations, most notably at the ‘Karczma u Lwa’ restaurant.

Książulo described the food as appearing ‘rotten’ and expressed concerns over the quality of ingredients, specifically citing a 45 PLN beef burger and a 17 PLN hot dog. He noted that the food appeared to be of very low quality, comparing the hot dog unfavorably to those found at gas stations.

In response to the controversy, the Wrocław City Hall issued a statement clarifying that the gastronomic points within the zoo are operated by external entrepreneurs rather than the zoo itself or the municipality. However, city officials stated they understand the concerns regarding food quality and pricing and will not ignore the signal, noting they maintain supervisory oversight over the facility.
