WWE alters Crown Jewel match plans for World Tag Team Championship

WWE has adjusted its creative plans for the Crown Jewel event, shifting focus from a proposed six-man tag team match to a direct title defense.

Originally, WWE officials considered a match featuring Penta, Je’Von Evans, and Oba Femi against Bron Breakker, Austin Theory, and Bronson Reed. However, creative leadership reportedly discarded this combination to prioritize the World Tag Team Championship rivalry.

As a result, Bron Breakker and Austin Theory will defend their titles against Penta and Je’Von Evans at the event. This decision was made to ensure the championship storyline remains the central focus, as officials felt it was illogical to hold a multi-man match before resolving the primary title feud. Oba Femi and Bronson Reed are currently excluded from this specific championship match, though a multi-man encounter could potentially be revisited in the future.
