WWE considers December dates for John Cena Classic

WWE John Cena John Cena Classic professional wrestling AEW

WWE is reportedly evaluating two potential dates for the John Cena Classic event, scheduled for December 2026. According to reports from WrestleVotes Radio via Fightful Select, the promotion is narrowing its options to either December 12 or December 19.

If held on December 12, the event could potentially follow WrestlePalooza, which is scheduled to take place in Perth, Australia. This would allow WWE to host a stateside event on the same day by leveraging time zone differences.

Choosing December 19 would place the tournament in direct competition with AEW’s Worlds End pay-per-view and AAA’s Guerra De Titanes. John Cena has previously indicated a desire to involve the audience directly through a voting system for the event, which coincides with the anniversary of his retirement.
